Allard Tamminga was the Adam Smith Guest Professor at the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Bayreuth, a visiting lecturer of the Department of Philosophy of the Central European University in Budapest (2010), and a visiting lecturer of the Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico-City (2008).
