Prof. Dr. Philipp Staudt studied Industrial Engineering and Economathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he also completed his PhD at the chair of Information & Market Engineering of Prof. Christof Weinhardt. He led the research group on Smart Grids and Energy Markets at the same chair and then held a PostDoc position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Staudt has extensive experience in researching and analyzing the intersection of technology and sustainability in the energy sector. Teaching

Philipp Staudt currently offers two Master courses for Business Informatics students and related studies, one during the winter and one during the summer semester. The courses focus on the role of digital technology in energy market design and the use of information systems for sustainability. Both courses also feature methodological components in terms of energy market modeling and information system research.

Lea Kuhlmann is a research assistant and PhD candidate in the research group Environmental and Sustainable Information Systems (ESIS) at the CvO University of Oldenburg and in the research group standardised systems engineering and assessment (SEA) at OFFIS e. V. Her research focuses on the intersection of digital sustainability and platform economy, with a deeper exploration of key characteristics of not-for-profit digital platforms, and how conceptual and strategic considerations for platform longevity/sustainability differ between not-for-profit and for-profit digital platforms.

Fabian Steinert is a research assistant and PhD candidate in the research group for Environmental and Sustainable Information Systems. His research focuses on the digital transformation of public organizations, with a deeper exploration of how data is managed and utilized, while also creating tools to empower employees in effectively handling and leveraging data within these administrative institutions.
