Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Law (2026)

A warm welcome to you as a student at the Department of Economics and Law

Bachelor’s degree programmes in “Economics” (WiWi) and
“Business Administration with a focus on law” (BWLjur)

We look forward to welcoming you as a student on the Bachelor’s degree programme in ‘Economics’ (Single-subject Bachelor’s and Dual-subject Bachelor’s) or ‘Business Administration with a focus on Law’. Below you will find information on starting your degree programme, which will be available on this website until 15 November 2026.

As part of the 2026 Orientation Week, your subject introduction session will take place in person on the campus in Lecture Theatre B, A11, on 6 October (Exception: Students on the dual-subject Bachelor’s programme with a specialisation in Vocational Education will attend their subject introduction session on 5 October in room A14 1-112). Please attend this programme presentation in person to receive important information about your degree programme. The presentation slides from the programme presentation will subsequently be available on this website. Information on these and other events taking place during Orientation Week can be found here.

In addition, the events organised by the WiRe Student Council ( FSR WiRe) as part of Orientation Week will provide you with further useful information on organising your studies, for example on Wednesday during the timetable workshop. The FSR WiRe will keep you informed about these and other events via its Instagram page and website, amongst other channels.

Further information about your degree programme, such as the current study plan or the Bachelor’s examination regulations, can be found here: Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration, Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Law, dual-subject Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration. You can enrol on modules (lectures, seminars, tutorials, etc.) via our learning management system, Stud.IP, which you can access via e.uol.de. You can find more information about the system here.

Technical note: To play the videos, we recommend using the Firefox browser so that you can fast-forward and rewind within the videos. If you encounter any technical difficulties whilst playing the videos, please try using a different browser first (e.g. Chrome, Internet Explorer). In addition, the high volume of traffic expected from first-year students may cause the system to become overloaded initially. If necessary, please try again at a later time. If your technical problems persist for a prolonged period despite changing your browser, please contact the IT services at the University of Oldenburg (uol.de/itdienste). The academic advisory service is unable to assist with IT issues.
