Melanie Nowak, Dr rer. nat., project leader of the BMBF-funded joint project "Open:MINT" at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and lecturer in the Department of History of Natural Sciences with a focus on the history of pharmacy at TU Braunschweig. From 3/2018 to 1/2019 she worked in the project "Gender Knowledge in and between the Disciplines" as a research assistant at the Institute of Flight Guidance, Maria Goeppert-Mayer Professorship for Gender, Technology and Mobility at the TU Braunschweig. She studied biology, history of pharmacy and natural sciences as well as gender studies in Braunschweig and wrote her doctoral thesis on "Horizontal transfer of natural substances: evidence and foundations of a previously unknown phenomenon". She specialises in gender studies with a focus on STEM education.
