The Organic Geochemistry Research Group warmly congratulates Christin on the successful defence of her doctoral thesis on 15 June 2026.

In her thesis, entitled “Molecular signatures of crude oil influence and hydrocarbon biodegradation at a historic oil production site”, she investigated molecular markers for the influence of crude oil and the microbial degradation of hydrocarbons at the historic oil production site in Wietze.
