Size:	Total length up to 30 cm and tufts up to 40 cm wide
Appearance:	Firm, elastic, cylindrical, very hairy thalli with regular dichotomy and apical tip, easily confused with Codium vermilara; C. fragile ends pointed and is more regularly branched
