Within the framework of this project group, a distributed (software) system is to be designed and realised on the basis of current technologies, which maps the control of a network of energy producers [and consumers]. This control system includes both the forward-looking, predictive planning of generator deployment based on energy consumption forecasts as well as (near real-time capable) reactive planning in order to solve problems caused by unforeseen events and to establish an electricity grid with as stable a supply as possible.
