Research Council (RaFo)
The Council for Research (RaFo) deals with issues of research strategy, systematic promotion of young researchers and the setting of priorities for the acquisition of third-party funding in dialogue with the Research Academy. The RaFo can make recommendations.
The member of the DiZ Board of Directors responsible for research is a member of the RaFo in office and with voting rights. The RaFo also includes five representatives of the group of university lecturers and five academic staff members with voting rights. The Faculty Councils of School I to V elect one representative of each of the two status groups named. Representatives of the MTV status group who are employed at the DiZ to perform tasks in support of research can be co-opted by the RaFo in an advisory capacity.
The member of the DiZ Board of Directors responsible for research usually invites and chairs a meeting of the RaFo at least once per semester.
