Dr Krause-Pichler, Adelheid
Studied musicology, art history, psychology and flute as main subject in Freiburg /Br. and Berlin.
Music history with Hans-Heinrich Eggebrecht and Carl Dahlhaus, flute studies with Aurele Nicolet, Nikolaus Delius, Heinz Hoefs, Andreas Blau, Hans-Martin Linde.
M.A. and Dr phil. 1976 - 1996. Lecturer at the Pädagogische Hochschule Berlin, the Hochschule der Künste Berlin and the University of Rostock.
Soloist in various concerts at the Berlin, Munich and Salzburg Classical Music Days with the Mozart Ensemble Berlin-Brandenburg. Biographies on the composers Jakob Friedrich Kleinknecht, Heinrich Poos, Dietrich Erdmann, Alice Samter and Wolfgang Steffen. Co-editor of the Handbuch Querflöte (Bärenreiter Verlag), editor of the publication series of the Deutscher Tonkünstlerverband Berlin, as well as author of a documentation on female composers in German.
Radio recordings and CD productions as well as editions of sheet music: Eichner - Flute Quartets - published by Ries & Erler, Flute Sonata by Wilhelmine von Bayreuth - Furore-Verlag 2006, Joseph Haydn - Flute Clock Pieces, Ries & Erler. The composers Wolfgang Steffen, Gloria Coates, Heinrich Poos, Sabine Wüsthoff, Gerald Humel, Gabriel Iranyi, Violeta Dinescu and Barbara Heller dedicated compositions to her.
She presented the composers as the moderator of dialogue concerts: Gerald Humel, Klaus Wüsthoff, Gabriel Iranyi, Susanne Stelzenbach, Charlotte Seither, Carola Bauckhold, Iris Ter Shiphorst, Mayako Kubo, Isabel Mundry, Samuel Tramin, Rainer Rubbert, Alfred Goodman at events organised by the SiemensForum Berlin, the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, the University of Rostock and the GEDOK.
Adelheid Krause-Pichler headed the GEDOK Musicians' Competition for 20 years, is Vice President of the German Musicians' Association and a member of committees of the German Music Council and the German Cultural Council.
In 2004, she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for her services to music (especially female composers).
