General information

Please note the following information on writing your thesis:

For surveys at schools as part of your thesis, please check at the beginning whether a small or large-scale procedure is required. For a large-scale procedure, a proposal must be submitted to the RLSB; the DIZ provides further information in the orientation framework.

Depending on whether it is a Bachelor's or Master's thesis, the implementation of surveys in correctional facilities is subject to different procedural steps, each of which requires a certain amount of lead time. Please contact Dr Annika Krause at an early stage.

  • Data protection and management: Students are responsible for collecting and managing data in accordance with data protection regulations. Please use, e.g. for the creation of GDPR-compliant declarations of consent, the Guidelines of the DSM.
    • Please note: Neither the Data Protection Officer nor the Data Protection and Information Security Unit of the University of Oldenburg are originally responsible for advising on data protection enquiries in their function as students.
