We are pleased to announce that we have successfully secured funding to establish a co-operation between the University of Oldenburg (Institute of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation) and the University of Groningen (Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences) as part of the UOL/RUG funding programme (https://uol.de/co-operation-uol-rug/foerderprogramm-co-operation projects). This funding forms the basis for closer academic collaboration across national borders. The aim is to develop joint research projects in special education and to strengthen exchange in this field. The international collaboration will kick off with a ‘brown-bag talk’ in the summer semester of 2026, at which Sarah Laßmann, Eva Kemler and Teresa Sansour will discuss current projects and research perspectives on the topic of “social participation and belonging in the inclusive school system” at the University of Groningen.
We are very much looking forward to the upcoming joint activities.
Eva Kemler, Prof. Dr Teresa Sansour and Dr Sarah Laßmann
