Working name of the project group: Guardians of the River

This project group is working on the design and construction of an IoT system and the associated mobile and autonomous sensors for recording key parameters of the Hunte, among other things, in order to be able to draw conclusions about biotic and abiotic changes. Using a LoRa-based communication infrastructure, any automatically collected measured values are sent to a data sink (IoT system), where they are persisted, validated, visualised and analysed. If critical limit values are exceeded, the relevant stakeholders (e.g. politicians, the press, police, Public Health Department and interested citizens) are alerted so that they can react or take the necessary protective measures.
