Scientific career
Studied at the University of Oldenburg (1977 - 1984). State Examination for the teaching profession at grammar schools with the subjects maths and chemistry (single-phase teacher training).
Doctorate in 2000 at the University of Oldenburg with a thesis on "Meaningful maths teaching for girls and boys" under Hilbert Meyer and Irene Pieper-Seier.
Habilitation 2021 in the field of school pedagogy/general didactics at the School I of the University of Oldenburg. Title of the habilitation thesis: "Gender-sensitive teacher education with special consideration of the STEM subjects".
