Recycling exchanges and networks
BUIS for inter-company recycling networks using the example of recycling exchanges and networks
Recycling networks are all types of corporate cooperation whose purpose is the efficient recycling of waste. Alliances can arise by chance and exist only sporadically, such as exchange relationships via recycling exchanges, or be well-organised and long-term, such as recycling networks. In our research on recycling exchanges, one of the questions we are investigating is what a promising option might look like for brokering recycled goods between production companies and waste disposal companies. The particular focus here is on the added value of a realisation based on modern Internet technologies. Research questions on recycling networks deal in particular with the conception and implementation of an inter-company recycling information centre for the purpose of providing information on recycling goods and their recycling possibilities as well as the electronic (agent-based) determination of possible recycling relationships. The focus is also on coordinating partners in recycling networks and linking them to PRPS systems.
