Since 2011, together with Claudia Schmidt, responsible for the research project "On the significance of the discrepancy criterion to intelligence for the definition of dyscalculia" (DISKRE) in the research initiative "Developmental disorders of school skills" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research under the direction of Prof Dr Grube.

Research focus:

Causes, conditions and definition of dyscalculia. This includes, among other things:

• Significance of the discrepancy criterion to intelligence for the definition of dyscalculia
• Basic arithmetic factual knowledge, basic numerical processing and working memory performance in connection with maths performance
• Developmental trajectories of children with and without dyscalculia
• Development and evaluation of support options for children with dyscalculia and dyscalculia
