Quality management and accreditation
Experts from academia and practice were involved in the development of the part-time Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes at C3L. The degree programme concept has received several awards and has often served as an example of best practice.
Our quality standards
In each module, you will be supported by renowned academics and practitioners from the respective subject areas as lecturers. Together with our mentors, they form a team that advises and supports you in all learning and working phases of a module. Binding guidelines and handouts based on university didactics form the basis for a consistently high quality of teaching in all modules. Mentors are carefully selected and continuously trained.
It is particularly important to us to offer students a course of study that is aligned with their professional interests in terms of didactics, content and organisation, which takes into account the latest research findings and enables innovative learning organisation. For this reason, we value the suggestions of our students in the further development of our degree programmes and are happy to take them on board.
An annual degree programme conference is held to continuously review the high quality of each individual degree programme. Here, the entire degree programme is systematically analysed together with teaching staff and students according to subject-specific, didactic, curricular and structural criteria, with a particular focus on the results of regular evaluations. The results are used to identify development needs and to derive and implement measures for continuous improvement.
Accreditation
The University of Oldenburg has been system-accredited since 2023. The seal awarded by the Accreditation Council recognises our internal system of quality assurance for teaching and learning. It guarantees that the qualification objectives and standards of our degree programmes are achieved.
The advantage of system accreditation is that decisions about the quality and further development of a degree programme can be made where there is really good insight. Internal stakeholders and external experts from academia and professional practice are involved in the process.
The four Master's degree programmes at C3L successfully passed the university's own accreditation process in autumn 2023. The Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration was programme accredited in 2022. The next accreditation of all part-time degree programmes is scheduled for 2030.
