Dear Gender Studies students and anyone interested,

Here you’ll find some initial information from the Gender Studies student body for anyone who is already studying the subject or is interested in doing so.

The student body comprises all students on the degree programme. Once a year, the Student Council is elected from among its members. The Council organises events such as the orientation week, represents Gender Studies students on committees and is your point of contact for any problems or questions relating to your studies.

You can contact the student body representatives with your concerns by emailing . However, you are also warmly invited to drop by in person to see how the student body works, get involved yourself, or offer any feedback or suggestions. During the 2026/27 winter semester, we meet regularly on Thursdays at 10.00 am in the Freiraum (A08, ground floor, first door on the left). We’ll also do our best to help you with any questions about internships, examinations, combinations of subjects or research.

The Student Council looks forward to hearing from you, including via Instagram @genderstudiesoldenburg. There you’ll find regular updates and highlights.

Queer-feminist regards

Your Gender Studies Student Council
