The OGC Research Group is delighted to welcome two international visiting researchers this year. From February to July 2026, Dr Ibukun Oluwoye from Curtin University will be conducting research at the University of Oldenburg as a fellow of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg. He is investigating the formation and environmental impacts of reactive oxygen species and free radicals in microplastics and tyre wear particles. From May to July 2026, Prof. Dr Ryan W. Paerl from North Carolina State University will also be a visiting scholar at the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of the Sea. His research focus is on marine biogeochemistry and the vitamin B1 cycle.
