Research interest
As I was born and grew up in northern Germany, I have always had a close relationship with the sea. When I was 16 years old, I was allowed to do an internship at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology. This quickly made me realise that I saw my future in marine research. Personally, the protection of our oceans is very important to me. I think it is essential that we use our natural resources responsibly and better understand the effects on the ecosystem. I work in the "Processes and Sensors of Marine Interfaces" group as a technician in the laboratory. I particularly appreciate the variety between laboratory work, scientific investigations and practical activities. I enjoy analysing samples, evaluating data, supporting scientific processes and taking part in sea voyages.
