Appearance: | Blurred, grey-brown colour. At spawning time, intensely coloured with green-yellow flanks bearing three longitudinal rows of red and blue dots. Head with dark face mask and blue-green areas. Fins partly blue-green. Both sexes with a dark spot on the root of the tail below the lateral line. |
