Since 29 July 2020, our training courses have been officially certified by the MedizinDidaktikNetz des Medizinischen Fakultätentages for the Medical Didactics Basic Qualification (MQ I). On 12.09.2025 we were recertified for MQ I and certified for the Medical Didactics Specialisation (MQ II)
This means that after completing our modules, you can receive a certificate that is recognised throughout Germany.

Basic medical didactics qualification (MQ I) with 120 teaching units (TU)
The modules either consist of one or more compulsory courses or are made up of elective courses. A module usually has 24 teaching units (1UE=45 min). There is an exception for the modules Communication and Methods / Examinations , where you can complete a module with 16 units, as 32 units have already been completed in the basic module.
The following modules must be completed for the MQ1 certificate:
- Basic module (1 compulsory course) (32 units)
- Teaching in everyday clinical practice or practical skills (3 elective courses) (24 units)
- Plenary didactics (1 compulsory course) (24 units)
- Communication (5 elective courses) (16 units or 24 units)
- Methods / Examinations (6 elective courses) (16 units or 24 units)

Medical didactic specialisation (MQ II) with 200 teaching units (TU)
MQ II Curriculum Oldenburg
Medizindidaktik Oldenburg offers a comprehensive curriculum for the 2nd qualification level of the MDN certificate. Our aim is to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to work successfully in medical didactics.
Learning outcomes
After completing the MQ II, you will be able to
- Carry out and evaluate a teaching project independently
- Design and implement courses
- Provide constructive feedback on courses
- Write a reflective final report
Registration and procedure
To take part in MQ II, please register with a proposal for a teaching project in medical didactics. The programme is structured as follows:
- Kick off event (6 UE): You present your teaching project and learn about the core cycle. You will receive feedback on your project and discuss which didactic courses are useful for your project.
- Self-study time (14 units): You will work independently on your project and attend supplementary courses from the elective area of medical didactics or university didactics.
- Project workshop (6 units): You will present the progress of your project and learn how to evaluate a course and conduct a peer observation.
- Independent development of the teaching project (14 units): You will continue your work on your project and prepare for the observation.
- Observation(4 units): You will observe your tandem partner and a trainer and receive feedback on the event.
- Final report (8 units): You prepare a reflective final report and submit it.
- Final event (4 units): You present your teaching project and receive final feedback.
