The task of this sub-project was to develop a simple software platform for encapsulating and coupling climate models, ecological models and macroeconomic models. These models are executed in a time-discrete, distributed manner. A key requirement was to ensure that the models, which are realised in very different languages and runtime environments, continue to be executed in the original environment even when coupled.
