eTelligence sub-project 3.4 - Load profile-based energy consulting
Duration: 1 November 2008 to 31 October 2012
In this sub-project, an advisory system for increasing household energy efficiency and sufficiency was designed and prototypically realised. The basis is a software-controlled information and counselling system solution that is based on newly created measurement and communication infrastructures (smart metering with high temporal resolution of consumption data of less than 1 second). The process of an interactive load profile analysis on the basis of a decomposed total load profile is intended to provide consumers with more precise information about how much electricity is consumed in their household at what times for the analysed appliance classes in order to derive measures to increase energy efficiency and sufficiency.
In the interest of data protection, sub-project 3.4 pursues an approach in which measured consumption data remains in the household and is analysed on site. The basis of the advisory software is a multi-stage approach that is being developed in close co-operation with the Sales and Marketing working group at the University of Oldenburg.
The project was carried out as part of the BMWi's eTelligence network in close co-operation with the University of Oldenburg's Sales and Marketing working group.
