Raised bog grassland project
Restoration of species-rich raised bog grassland through sustainable agricultural utilisation with special consideration of the fluttering rush problem
This project focuses on grassland on raised bog sites, which are very problematic from an agricultural and nature conservation perspective. The effects of different management options on phytodiversity and the problem species of the butterfly rush(Juncus effusus) are being analysed. In addition, an experimental field trial is being conducted on the germination and establishment of wet grassland species on raised bog grassland. Financing: German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) Duration: 01.08.2005 to 30.09.2010
