Automated generation of sign language in model-based specialist applications

Bachelor/Master/Diploma thesis

Title

Automated generation of sign language in model-based specialist applications

Description of the

Deaf people mainly learn sign language as their first "reading language". It can therefore be useful for certain application classes not only to offer textual information but also to visualise this information using sign language. In the context of this work, the different approaches for sign language are first to be examined and then a prototypical avatar is to be integrated into OpenSAGA using an exemplary sign language, which is connected to the output routines and realises a visualisation using sign language for existing text information. Subsequently, the benefits of such integration are to be verified in a small field test and suggestions are to be gathered for future work in this direction.
