Über uns

The School VI of Medicine and Health Sciences comprises the fields of human medicine, medical physics and acoustics, neurosciences, psychology and health services research. Together with the four regional hospitals, School VI forms the University Medicine Oldenburg. Furthermore, the university cooperates closely with the University Medicine of the University of Groningen.

Ihre Aufgaben

The project “Individualized, model-based hearing aid fitting” operates at the intersection of signal processing in hearing aids, auditory modelling and hearing science, and aims to develop supporting tool for individualized hearing aid fitting based on auditory models. The position is suitable for part-time work. 

This is an EFRE-funded, joint project between the CvO University of Oldenburg (T. Brand), Hörzentrum Oldenburg gGmbH (K. Wagener) and Jade Hochschule (I. Holube), which aims at model-based fitting of hearing aids for better communication in everyday conditions.

Ihr Profil

Required qualifications:

  • Completed academic degree (Diploma/Master) in hearing technology & audiology, physics, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Research experience, ideally in collaborative projects.
  • Furthermore, applicants must have a background in auditory modelling and at least one of the following fields: hearing aid acoustics, speech and audio processing, machine learning.
  • Profound knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python / MATLAB) is required.
  • The applicant should have a strong interest in interdisciplinary application-oriented work, good communication skills and good spoken and written English language skills.
