On 3 March 2026, several members of the department attended the Computer Science Teachers' Day (TILL) in Osnabrück together with students. The TILL takes place annually and offers a broad mix of workshops, lectures and exhibitors.

Nils Prior and Lena-Sophie Kayser held workshops on the teaching materials currently being developed as part of the IT2School project on the topics of databases and social media. Matthias Karrasch offered a workshop on billingual computer science teaching. Student Niklas Ortmann was able to present parts of his master's thesis, in which he is developing a simulation game on the filter algorithms of social media platforms, during the TILL and obtain feedback from teachers. Duy Huynh also used the TILL to conduct a survey as part of his final thesis.

As in previous years, the day offered plenty of time for dialogue with teachers. An insight into the DigiLab at Osnabrück University gave us further ideas for the use of our MakingLab.

The next TILL will take place in Braunschweig in 2027.
