Computing Science Learning Lab
What do bananas, robots, the internet and 3D printers have in common? Together with many other materials, they are part of the Computing Science Learning Lab.
The Computing Science Learning Lab is an extracurricular learning centre for computer science content and new methods in the subject of Computing Science at school. Both teachers and pupils can familiarise themselves with new technologies and methods through a variety of activities. In order to demonstrate the diversity of the subject of Computing Science, ideas and projects are presented and actively tried out to make pupils curious about Computing Science.
Both with and without computers, all activities focus on trying out, exploring and doing things yourself.
The Computing Science Learning Lab offers the following:
1. workshops for school classes together with teachers
2. Further training for teachers
3. Lending of materials and counselling for teachers
The Computing Science Learning Lab is a partner in the Oldenburg Learning and Teaching Labs (OLeLa) for STEM teacher training and in the LernortLabor - Bundesverband der Schülerlabore e.V..
In the OLe+ project of the teacher training quality offensive, the learning laboratory serves as a theory-practice space for professionalisation and lifelong teacher training.
