Workshop: Interdisciplinary Research into Language-Aware Subject Teaching – Winter Semester 2023/24
Wednesday 6 December 2023, 9.30 am – 6.00 pm, Oldenburg Youth Hostel (Straßburger Str. 6, 26123 Oldenburg)
Organised by the research cluster ‘Language-Aware Subject Teaching/Language-Sensitive Teaching and Learning’, this event aims to support cross-disciplinary networking and co-operation in research projects in the fields of language-aware subject teaching and language-sensitive teaching and learning.
The day will consist of short keynote presentations as well as open-format sessions, during which participants will have time to exchange ideas and network. To this end, a series of short presentations will begin by raising questions from various subjects and disciplines that (still) arise in relation to language-aware subject teaching. Following this, different interest groups will come together to outline and plan specific small-scale projects during an intensive working session.
Programme
Participation in the workshop is free of charge. The costs for catering during the workshop will also be covered.

As we would like to end the workshop in an informal setting, we have made a reservation at the Zócalo restaurant. The costs for the optional dinner must be paid by participants in the informal evening programme.
We are looking forward to an exciting workshop with lively exchange, which can serve as a nucleus for interdisciplinary projects on language-conscious subject teaching.
