The interdisciplinary joint project of the University of Oldenburg aims to integrate the topic of sustainable energy supply and energy utilisation more strongly into schools, teacher training and further education. To this end, it utilises the high regional concentration of research networks, companies, schools and professorships in didactics with a focus on energy.
The project is coordinated by the Carl von Ossíetzky University's didactic centre.
- Seven didactic centres are developing teaching concepts and modules on energy education for all relevant subjects
- The modules and concepts are designed across all levels for preschool, primary school, secondary level 1, secondary level 2 and vocational schools
- Energy education is to be sustainably anchored in school programmes and nationwide core curricula
- The co-operation with schools aims to jointly use the opportunities offered by the North-West Energy Education Network to make the topic of energy more attractive in schools and in teacher training and further education.
- Energy education is to be defined and communicated as an innovative, multi- and interdisciplinary educational mission
