Competence development portfolio
On behalf of the Lower Saxony Association of Teacher Training Universities, framework specifications were developed last year for a cross-phase competence development portfolio (KOEP) to be introduced state-wide at all teacher training locations and in the study seminars.
The planned portfolio focuses on reflecting on the individual professionalisation process and opens up a space for reviewing study and career choices. In addition to various occasions for self-reflection, occasions for external reflection are also to be included in all phases.
At the University of Oldenburg, the Didactic Centre is entrusted with the development and design of the competence development portfolio in teacher training in coordination with the Schools.
News (August 2014):
- Co-operation with the Landesportfolio AG for the development of an e-portfolio
- Internal agreement that the KOEP at the University of Oldenburg should be provided (at least proportionately) with its own, ungraded credits, which are mainly located in the M.Ed., while in the Bachelor KOEP credits should be integrated into other credits (e.g. ASP).
The focus should be on subject-specific reflection, which is accompanied by the FD, BW and, if possible, subject-specific sciences.
The documentation in the KOEP serves as a basis for personal reflection processes and is 'private' in this sense. They should only be made accessible to others as part of the dialogue-based counselling and support processes.
