Conference "Invention and Innovation Incentives in the Life Sciences Market", organised by the Max Planck Institute for Competition and Innovation under the direction of Prof. Dr. Reto Hilty, in Berlin, Hotel am Steinplatz.
Prof Godt took part in the conference in a dual capacity. As a member of the Steering Committee, she advised the Institute on conference planning and moderated the thematic block "Legal and Regulatory Complexity" as chair. As a speaker, she contributed her own contribution on the topic "Mandatory Access Operators: Access Rights under EU Funding Schemes".

Prof Godt spoke at the international symposium "Genome Editing under Gene Technology Law: Legal Aspects and Latest Developments" at the invitation of Prof Dr Tade Spranger, University of Bonn, on the topic: "The appropriate Scope of Intellectual Property Rights in the Area of Genome editing". Conference publication will follow shortly.

Prof Godt and Prof Van Erp (University of Maastricht) will teach the first block of the Hanse Law School course "Comparative Property Law" using the team teaching method.

Prof Dr Godt will be represented in two capacities at the ALPS Annual Conference 2018, which is being held in Europe for the first time and hosted by Maastricht University. She is a member of the panel "Data Ownership" on 2 June 2018 and will present on 1 June 2018 on her paper "Property Only or Modern Feudalism? Conceptualising the Expansion of Property Entitlements"
17-18 May 2018
On 17 and 18 May 2018, Prof. Dr Armelle Renaut-Couteau, University of Le Havre, will be a guest at the chair.

On 17 May 2018, she will give a block lecture on public maritime law for (Master's) students. On 18 May 2018, the chair will hold a research symposium on marine law in her honour. In the morning, the topic of "Marine Biodiversity Research" will be at the centre, and in the afternoon "The Governance of Conflicts of Use: Planning and Management".

Prof Dr Godt is invited to the expert meeting ofthe EU enforcement authorities of the Nagoya regime ("Meeting of the European Competent National Authorities implementing the Nagoya Protocol and the corresponding EU Regulation") 23-26 April 2018 on the island of Vilm. She will speak on "Legal implications of Article 4 (5) and (7) of Regulation (EU) No. 511/2014 on the liability of registered collections"
