Regulatory Property Rights, C. Godt (ed.), BRILL 2017

Shortly before Christmas, the renowned BRILL publishing house will deliver the book Regulatory Property Rights edited by Prof Dr Godt (already published in 2017). The volume brings together eleven first-class contributions by internationally recognised academics on the new type of property rights, with an epilogue by Hans-W. Micklitz. A "must-read" in comparative property law.
Bodewig Symposium

At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Metzger, organiser of the Bodewig Symposium on 8 December 2016 at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Prof. Dr. Godt spoke on the topic of patent disputes before the ECJ: modernisation or overload?

Equitable Licensing- Where do we stand in 2016?
At the invitation of the Hamburg student group, Prof Godt gave a presentation on the latest developments in technology transfer at the UAEM annual conference.

Prof Dr Godt is once again teaching together with Prof Dr Sjef van Erp in this winter semester 2016/17 as part of a double block seminar on Comparative Property Law.
The first event will take place on 10 and 11 November 2016. The second event will take place on 11 January 2017.
Head of the Hanse Law School
1 April 2016
On 1 April 2016, Prof. Dr Godt will hand over the management of the Hanse Law School to Prof. Dr V. Boehme-Nessler after five years as Director. Prof Dr Godt will remain institutionally connected to the Hanse Law School as Co-Director for Comparative Studies and as Chair of the Examining Board.
"Equitable Licensing": Workshop at the annual conference of the Swiss Technology Transfer Offices, Interlaken

At the invitation of the Swiss umbrella organisation of technology transfer offices swiTT and the student organisation "UAEM" (Universities Allied for Essential Medicines), Prof. Dr. Godt gave a lecture on "Equitable Licensing" on 30 Jan. 2016. She encouraged universities, non-university research institutions and research funders to issue or demand guidelines on the socially responsible use of intellectual property in order to fulfil their responsibility for a transparent balancing of public research, industrial policy and health policy. She presented concrete guidelines and spoke about contract set-ups for funding and transfer agreements.

Prof. Dr. C. Godt was invited to an exclusive workshop on the interface of public research, intellectual property and health policy, jointly organised by the WHO and the Institute Pasteur. International experts from international organisations, research institutions and NGOs discussed in a small group the question of how publicly funded research institutions can contribute to the availability and affordability of new medicines.
