Lecture "Europeanisation of civil jurisdiction"

On 16.11.2011, Prof. Dr. Godt will give a lecture on the "Europeanisation of Civil Jurisdiction" as part of the "European Day of Civil Justice" at the invitation of the President of the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court, Dr. G. Kircher (Oldenburg Palace, Palace Hall, 3.30 pm).
Hanse Law School (HLS) expands to include French partner
11.10.2011, Le Havre On 11 October 2011, Prof. Dr C. Godt (University of Oldenburg, Director of the Hanse Law School) and Prof. J.-M. Jude (Université Le Havre, Directeur Département Droit) signed a letter of intent to expand the Hanse Law School, which currently comprises a partnership between the Universities of Bremen, Oldenburg and Groningen, to include the University of Le Havre as a French partner. A working group has been set up to finalise all the details by January. The partnership is due to be finalised in June 2012.

Expert opinion order received

Prof Dr C. Godt (together with Dr F. Wolff, Ökoinstitut Berlin) is awarded a contract by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety for an expert report on the potential implementation of the Nagoya Protocol in Germany. The protocol, in full: Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilisation to the Convention on Biological Diversity, is an international environmental agreement under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity that was adopted in Nagoya, Japan, in 2010 and has not yet entered into force. Prof Dr C. Godt was able to recruit Dr D. Susnjar to support her in drafting the first part. Start of project: 27 October 2011, end of project: 30 June 2012.
