World Health Summit

Research network for maritime law

German-French co-operation within the framework of the Hanse Law School

The co-operation with the Université du Havre continues to take shape. As representatives of the French partner university, Prof. Jean-Michel Jude and Dr Jean-Marc Delagneau were in Oldenburg from 11 to 13 April 2012 to discuss the framework conditions for a joint Master's programme. The aim is to acquire a Franco-German and possibly a Dutch Master's degree after five years. While the stay abroad is compulsory in the Bachelor's programme at the Hanse Law School, students in Le Havre have the choice of going abroad and

Practice Advisory Board of the Hanse Law School strengthened

At the meeting of the HLS Practice Advisory Board on 9 March 2012, four new members were appointed to further enhance the profile of the Hanse Law School: Firstly, the President of the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Bremen, Ms Karen Buse, and the President of the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court, Dr Gerhard Kircher, will strengthen the connection to the judiciary. With the support of the head of the north-west German judiciary, the Hanse Law School is establishing itself as an exemplary innovation project in German legal training. Also new "on board" are Mr Michael Waskönig, Managing Director of Waskönig+Walter Kabel-Werk GmbH & Co KG and Mr Bertold Frick, lawyer from the law firm "von Einem und Partner" in Bremen. Mr Frick succeeds Advisory Board member Dr Klaus Eissing, who has retired.
