Hello, first-year art students,
A warm welcome to the University of Oldenburg and to our Institute of Art and Visual Culture.
We, the student body, are delighted to welcome you and would love to invite you to the orientation week. This will take place from 5 to 9 October 2026 — you’ll find all the key information here in good time before the orientation week!
To facilitate discussion amongst yourselves and to receive updates on any last-minute changes, we also recommend that you join the freshers’ group (WhatsApp).
The programme will be updated shortly before the orientation week. So please check it again shortly beforehand. You will also be informed of any changes in the Freshers' Groups.
Information for first-year Master's students
All first-year Master’s students are, of course, warmly invited to the Art and Media Student Body’s regular orientation week programme. However, some of the Master’s degree programmes have their own student councils, which organise events exclusively for their Master’s students and anyone else who is interested.
