Hello dear art freshmen,
Welcome to the University of Oldenburg and to our Institute of Art and Visual Culture.
We, the student body of art, are very happy to welcome you and would like to invite you to the orientation week. This will take place from 6 to 10 October 2025 - you will find the most important information here in good time before the week!
For mutual exchange and to get information about last-minute changes, we also recommend that you join the Ersti group (WhatsApp).
In addition to the university's general O-week programme, we also offer a number of events to make it easier for you to start your studies.
The programme will be updated shortly before the orientation week. So please check it again shortly beforehand. You will also be informed of any changes in the Freshers' Groups.
Information for first-year Master's students
All first-year Master's students are of course also cordially invited to the regular O-week programme of the art and media student body. However, some of the Master's degree programmes have their own Student councils that offer their own events exclusively for their Master's and interested students.
