Microphone systems
Catch-box microphone system with crystal-clear voice recording (throw microphone with portable microphone for lecturers)
- is suitable for teaching and video conferencing in very large rooms, such as lecture theatres.
- The Catch Box microphone system consists of a soft, throwable foam cube with an integrated microphone, a receiver with connections for PC (USB) and loudspeaker systems (XLR/Chinch) and an additional portable microphone for lecturers.
- Improves the acoustics in large rooms, making the voice clearly audible through the speaker system, even for participants in the virtual room at hybrid events.
Connection and operation:
- Two microphones can be operated in parallel with the receiver (the throw microphone and the
- The receiver is either supplied with power via the USB-C power supply unit provided or connected directly to a PC/laptop via USB, where the catch box is recognised as an audio source.
- The microphone system can be integrated into existing audiovisual infrastructures and video conferencing systems (connection of external speakers/a sound system via balanced XLR outputs e.g. "MIC 1" and "MIC 2" or the unbalanced cinch outputs)
Special features for teaching:
- The Catch-Box system is an innovative, wireless throw microphone system that ensures greater interactivity and ease of use, particularly in lecture theatres.
- The foam cube microphone can be thrown from one person to another, allowing spontaneous questions and opinions to be asked in a playful way (the microphone is automatically muted during flight to avoid background noise).
- The catch box can actively encourage student participation.
HOLLYLAND LARK 150 DUO wireless microphone set
- is suitable as a supplementary microphone system for teaching and video conferencing in very large rooms, such as lecture theatres or large seminar rooms.
- The wireless microphone set consists of 2 wireless clip-on microphones with a range of over 100-200 metres
- Crystal-clear voice recording thanks to omnidirectional microphones and DSP technology with noise cancellation (HearClear).
Connection and operation:
- Description with jack plug + sound card ..... / Quick and easy set-up without complex technical knowledge.
- Receiver (with mounting clip) with 3.5 mm jack output for headphones and line-out for recording devices or PA system (headphone output on the receiver allows direct control of the audio signals).
- 2 "transmitters" (with mounting clip) = 2 microphones (optionally with "small clip-on lavalier mics)
- Three volume presets (high, medium, low) allow adaptation to different room acoustics.
- Charging case with USB-C port displays charging status for transmitter and receiver.
Special features for teaching:
- The sound arrives with almost no delay (latency < 5 ms)
- Suitable for mobile moderation with a long range (e.g. group moderation, i.e. 1 microphone stays with the lecturer and the other is passed around the room) or interviews.
Jabra SPEAK 750 UC mobile Bluetooth speaker & microphone
- Bidirectional conference speaker with hands-free microphone (360° microphone) that acoustically connects the laptop (in a video conference) with the room
- without "walkie talkie effect", simultaneous transmission of the speakers
- Wireless pairing of two "Jabra Speak 750" increases the range in the room: one device for small rooms, two distributed in the room for larger meetings and seminars.
Connection and operation:
- Connection with the laptop either via Bluetooth, via USB cable or via the Link 370 dongle (more stable Bluetooth connection with a long range, up to around 30 m)
- Echo avoidance: Only actively use one conference computer as an audio source; consistently deactivate built-in laptop microphones/speakers, only select those of the "Jabra Speak 750" in the video conferencing tool (e.g. BigBlueButton).
- Connecting two "Jabra Speak 750" via the "Link button" ("daisy chain"): place both devices up to 4 metres apart and briefly tap the Link button on both.
- Bluetooth limits: Each "Jabra Speak 750" can hold a maximum of two active Bluetooth connections (additional devices for "linking" can temporarily displace another Bluetooth device).
Special features for teaching:
- For hybrid courses, the "Jabra Speak 750" should ideally be positioned centrally on the tables, so that contributions from the face-to-face group are recorded evenly and transmitted to the online participants.
- The teacher hears the online participants via the loudspeaker in the room
- Calls, volume and mute are controlled directly on the "Jabra Speak 750" device (without having to click in the video conferencing interface).
