GruKisch research project

Primary schools and their stakeholders in child protection (GruKisch)

Qualitative secondary analysis to determine the starting point for improving the integration of primary schools in Lower Saxony

The legal standards of the Federal Child Protection Act (§§ 3 + 4 KKG) and the protection concept recommendations of the KMK require schools to engage in learning processes for intra- and inter-organisational co-operation in child protection. The specialist discourse emphasises the key function of teacher training for the necessary expansion of knowledge transfer as the basis for school participation in local child protection strategies.

GruKisch examines the organisational complexity and pedagogical practices of existing cooperative relationships, which are passed on as practical examples to students with the professional goal of becoming primary school teachers during the first phase of teacher training.

The findings of the evaluative-content-analytical research project will lead to recommendations for primary school development in Lower Saxony, school social work and the curricular framework of initial and in-service teacher training against the background of the knowledge base from Season I and Season II of the podcast.
