The DiZ provides information on procedures for authorising surveys and surveys in schools
Briefly summarised:
"Please note the following general conditions:
- Formally, the small procedure (student examination and credits) may only be used for surveys/surveys that are carried out at the current or a previous placement school and are not published.
- If data is to be collected at different schools, student examination and credits must also be authorised via the RLSB as part of the major procedure , even if publication is not planned.
- In contrast to a compulsory internship in the teacher training programme, official employment relationships of students at schools (e.g. substitute teacher or pedagogical assistant) do not entitle them to carry out surveys and surveys at the official school in accordance with the small procedure. Formal authorisation via the RLSB (large procedure) is therefore required in such cases."

Supervision of theses
Looking for an exciting topic for your final thesis...
Supervision as first or second reviewer
- Bachelor's and Master's theses in extracurricular pedagogy(BA Pedagogy/MA EBW)
- Master's theses in the Master of Education
- The questions in the Master's thesis can be dealt with theoretically or empirically in the Master of Education Primary School.
- In the Master of Education Hauptschule and Realschule as well as in the Master of Education Gymnasium, an empirical Master's thesis is required.
- (possible in individual cases on proposal: supervision of Bachelor's theses in the teaching profession or Bachelor's/Master's theses in the social sciences)
Note on empirical theses: In addition to questionnaire surveys and interview studies, there are many other types of research that the DIZ suggests, including: "Material- and task-orientated research-based learning", "Research-based learning in an interdisciplinary context", "Experimental/ artistic/ aesthetic research".
Note on the use of AI: "Carefully observe source references and declaration of independence When submitting written examinations, including final theses, the student must confirm in writing that he or she has written or designed the work independently and has not used any sources or aids other than those specified and has followed the general principles of scientific work and publications as laid down in the regulations on the principles for ensuring good academic practice at the University of Oldenburg. This also means that all text passages that have been created indirectly or directly with the help of CCIs must be fully, comprehensibly and unambiguously labelled. Furthermore, it means that the extensive or exclusive use or copying of CCI-generated examination results does not constitute independent work in accordance with the declaration of independence. Recipients must be able to consistently understand what intellectual property has been taken from other or third-party works or content generated using generative AI. An affidavit stating that the work has been produced independently and without unauthorised external assistance and not with the unlabelled use of AI must be attached to all qualification work."
