German Society for Technical Education
The German Society for Technical Education discusses current topics in technology education and technology teacher training. Head of department Prof Dr Peter Röben and Prof Dr Henseler are members of the DGTB.
Association of German Engineers
The Technical Education working group cooperates closely with the Association of German Engineers (VDI), which is based in Düsseldorf. Department head Prof Dr Peter Röben and Prof Dr Henseler are full members of the VDI and work in the "Technology and Education" section. Together with colleagues from other Federal States, they are developing nationwide standards for technology teaching, among other things.
In cooperation with the NiedersachsenMetall foundation, the Bildungswerk der Niedersächsischen Wirtschaft and the NLQ, the working group organises further training measures for technology teachers.
The Bundestechnologiezentrum für Elektro- und Informationstechnik e.V. is an important cooperation partner of our working group. The bfe, recognised nationwide as a highly qualified training centre for electrical engineering, electronics, information processing and automation technology, supports us in the technical training of our students. In return, the Technical Education working group has taken over the scientific monitoring of the E-LEKTRA pilot project.

The Technical Education working group provided scientific support for the Junior MINT project at Lernort Technik und Natur in Wilhelmshaven.
