Study Planning

What is the study plan?

The study plan gives you guidance on which modules you can take in which semester and the best order in which to take them. Students specialising in chemistry can therefore follow it directly.

For the 2-FB Chemistry programme, things get a little more complicated depending on your second subject. The recommendations in the study plans may not be entirely suitable, as each plan places a particular emphasis on its ‘own’ subject. Nevertheless, they provide a useful guide, particularly for those aiming to become teachers.

Master’s students have a great deal of freedom in how they choose to take their modules and can even omit some modules entirely.

You’ll find the timetable structure for your specific degree programme in the page navigation.

Amendment to the examination regulations

From the 2026/2027 winter semester onwards, there will be new study plans for the Chemistry degree programme, as the examination regulations have changed.

Detailed examination regulations and the module plans (Examination Regulations – Subject-Specific Annex 2026) can be found at: https://uol.de/studiengang/pruefungen/chemie-fach-bachelor-6
