Summer semester 2024

"Doing a doctorate after the M.Ed." as part of the DiZ information events "Master of Education - and then? Teaching and other career paths"

Due to the lively interest in last year's premiere of the online information event for teaching graduates on the topic of doing a doctorate after the M. Ed. at the University of Oldenburg , the Research Academy is planning a follow-up format in co-operation with Dr Simone Brühl, Doctoral Advisory Service of the ZSKB.

This event will be offered again online on Thu, 04 July 2024, 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm as part of the DiZ's series of online information events on the transition to teaching or other career paths, in order to provide information on the following key questions, among others:

  • "Is a doctorate possible for me as an M.Ed. graduate?
  • What support options does the UOL offer for doctoral students?
  • How do I find a supervisor? Are there any funding options?".

Lennart Rohlfs, doctoral candidate from the field of technology didactics and a member of the "Teacher Education 2040" research training group, and Dr Julia Michaelis, DiZ Managing Director, will also support the event to provide in-depth advice and clarify further questions.

Advanced language acquisition workshop

Organised by Esther Ruigendijk, Katrin Kleinschmidt-Schinke & Tanja Jungmann
Research Cluster Advanced Language Acquisition

As part of our workshop, we want to take an interdisciplinary look at the research topic of advanced language acquisition. To this end, we have been able to attract contributors from the fields of linguistics, language didactics and (special) education as well as from the interfaces between these areas. In addition, the workshop is explicitly intended to provide an opportunity for networking and personal exchange between researchers from the various disciplines. We from Oldenburg would also like to use this workshop to present and discuss our new projects with an expert audience.
