The guest auditor programme offers anyone interested the opportunity to register as a guest auditor and participate in academic discourse and current research and teaching results, regardless of university entrance qualification, school-leaving qualification or age:
- With the courses on offer you will find over 700 courses from the various disciplines at the University of Oldenburg that are open to guest students.
- With the permission of the lecturers, you can also attend courses from the general range of courses of the university that are not initially open to guest students.
- If you are working and are looking for targeted further education, you can also take part in the fee-based continuing education modules of the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning.

We also have a range of other offers in store for you:
- We celebrate the start of each semester with our semester opening eventto which all guest students and interested parties are cordially invited.
- Under "Offers for newcomers" you will find events, seminars and guided tours organised especially for new guest students to help them get started in university life. You will also find our information events here, which we offer on two dates before each semester.
- The "series of lectures in philosophy" is a co-operation between the Institute of Philosophy and the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg and the Karl Jaspers Society.
- Among Guest students for guest students you will find offers that come from the circle of guest students on their own initiative
- In the "Semester-accompanying course programme" lists seminars that specifically address the interests of older adults and are intended to supplement the open course programme for guest students. Guest auditor status is not required for participation.
- The workshop "Retirement at last! Preparing for the great freedom" is aimed at people who are about to enter the post-work phase of life or are currently in this phase. Guest auditor status is not required for participation.
Incidentally, enrolment also gives guest students access to other university programmes. You can use the canteens, libraries libraries and the wide range of university sports use.
