The university operates a central university website uol.de based on the TYPO3 CMS (Content Management System). The design of the pages is based on the University's corporate design.

The central website is basically the place for providing pages for university institutions and individuals. Newly established departments/institutions receive free access on request so that they can fill their pages with content independently.

The (almost) complete range of TYPO3 functions is of course also available for our website uol.de. This is supplemented by TYPO3 extensions and customisations, some of which we have developed ourselves.

• Sophisticated rights system - editors only have access to the pages and files in their area

• Built-in multilingualism - convenient translation of pages, if required with automatic translation by DeepL or fully automatic translation by Campus Lingo

• Integration of content from Stud.IP - the content maintained in Stud.IP is displayed in the TYPO3 website and automatically updated when changes are made. This includes people, courses, theses, office hours, degree programmes and much more.
• Calendar - Use the calendar function provided to publicise events. Among other things, series dates can also be entered
• Publication lists: Integration of publication lists from Bibtex, the university bibliography and Stud.IP
• News - creation of news pages with images, teaser text, categorisation
• Forms - convenient creation of forms (e.g. for contact enquiries, registrations) with export function
• Friendly captcha for forms
• Maps (with OpenStreetMap with pre-installed default settings for university buildings and addresses)
• Accessibility - compliance with legal regulations on accessibility for centrally provided content and elements, information on accessibility for editors
