California State University Channel Islands (also known as CSUCI or Cal State Channel Islands) is a very young (founded in 2002) and very small (2,500 students) state university in Camarillo in the US state of California. Camarillo has a population of around 65,000 and is located in Ventura County near Thousand Oaks between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, just a few kilometres from the sea. The university is committed to environmental friendliness and climate protection. CSUCI is located in an area where many companies from a wide range of industries are based.
