The FSU introduces itself

USA, Tallahassee: Florida State University

With more than 40,000 students, Florida State University (FSU) is our largest partner university in the USA. It is located in the north of Florida, in the state capital Tallahassee, on the border with Georgia.
It is not only the comparable size of Tallahassee (approx. 180,000 inhabitants) to Oldenburg, but also the warm climate with a literal guarantee of sunshine that attracts many students to this university.

FSU is internationally recognised for its space and marine research as well as its social sciences and linguistics.

On the sporting stage, FSU is characterised by its successful college football team, the Florida State Seminoles. Located on campus, the Doak Campbell Football Stadium holds around 80,000 spectators and is certainly a must-visit for all FSU students.

Oldenburg students can choose undergraduate courses at FSU, however, the following courses CANNOT be chosen : Courses from the College of Law, College of Nursing, College of Medicine, College of Film and Music, and courses from the Department of Dance and Theatre. In addition, there is a limited number of places for a number of subjects: Athletic Training, Business, Communication, Communication Disorders, Computer Science, Dietetics, Economics, Education, Interior Design, Psychology, Social Work.

FSU requires a TOEFL or IELTS as proof of language skills from exchange students. TOEFL minimum score: 80 internet based, 550 paper based; the TOEFL itp (institutional based) is not accepted. IELTS minimum score 6.5.
