USA, Vermillion: University of South Dakota
The University of South Dakota (USD) is located in Vermillion, a small town in the middle of the prairie on the edge of the Great Plains. Interestingly, the University of South Dakota has more students than the town of Vermillion has residents (15,000 students to 10,000 residents). The cost of living in South Dakota is relatively low by American standards.
The USD has a very good reputation, which is partly due to the very committed staff. In addition to economics, USD is a good place to study music, art, education, languages and natural sciences (especially physics and chemistry). The USD is particularly strong in the renewable energy sector and sustainability research.
Exchange students can attend both Bachelor's and Master's courses.
Please note: Economics courses at the Business School are subject to fees (approx. 90 to 100 USD per course/3 credit points).
