Consultation hours:
in the semester: usually Wed. 12.30 - 13.30 (appointment booking via Stud.IP.)
during the lecture-free period: by appointment only
(Do you need an appointment during the semester break? Write me an email with at least three suggested appointments. I will then see if one is suitable).
My post box is located in building A1-A4 on the 1st floor staircase.
You only need one signature?
We don't have to make appointments for every little thing. Simply contact me after my courses - if possible with the relevant proof. You can also try to meet me in my office outside of my office hours for short consultations etc., but there is no guarantee that I am not busy with other appointments. You just can't be sure that I'm not busy with other appointments.
Would you like me to review your Master's thesis?
Please come to my office hours, (sample) requests for support by email will not be answered! You can only receive a final confirmation from me if you have a concrete topic and, if possible, an exposé! Of course, we can also discuss a topic together in advance.
You are not admitted to a course despite urgent need and great interest?
Here you can find information about the registration process: https://uol.de/fk1/studium/bildungswissenschaftliches-curriculum/organisation-der-module
Just being on a waiting list doesn't really get you anywhere. As a rule, you will also miss the first meeting dates. The best way to signal your serious interest is to turn up for the first session. Over time, seats usually become free because other students do not attend regularly. As long as there are enough seats in the room, I will not turn away committed students. However, if there are no more seats, please understand that the fire safety regulations do not permit additional participation.
You want to hand in your service and don't know when?
The latest deadline for submitting examination results is always the last day of the respective semester in which the associated seminar was attended.
If you need your grade at short notice, e.g. to register for the Master's programme, you should not wait until the deadline!
You want to hand in your service and don't know where and in what form?
Everything is now online! In each of my seminars there is a protected folder under StudIP in the file area where you have to upload your examination results.
I will provide information on the specific formatting in the respective seminars, please refer to the seminar documents.
Everything must be submitted in pdf format (one continuous file!).
The file name is always lastname_firstname_matriculation_number.pdf
Can't meet a deadline?
This is unpleasant for all of us. It makes it difficult for both you and me to restart the semester, as does a comparative assessment. In such cases, I expect a justified, comprehensible and verifiable apology. You must expect that there may also be a considerable delay in the assessment.
Where is your grade? Are you wondering why your achievements have not yet been registered?
I book the KPs after reviewing as many performances and participations in a seminar as possible. As a rule, I find the best time to deal with your examinations en bloc during the semester break. If you push the submission deadline to the end of the semester, the assessment will often be postponed until the next lecture-free period.
Although I can understand that you would like to know your grades, asking for them by email will only delay the process. However, you are welcome to ask in person about the status of things. In particular, if you urgently need your KPs, please contact me in person and I will assess your exam performance at short notice.
