The artist as human capital: self-making in the creative economy

with Prof. Angela McRobbie (Goldsmiths University of London) The workshop session will undertake three activities, first students will be expected to comment on 2 or 3 provided articles and chapters as below. Second students will be guided to discussing some of the background texts and recent material on the topic. Third and finally students will be invited to bring to the workshop some of their own relevant research material with a view to reflecting on the value of the conceptual vocabulary already presented (Foucault, Bourdieu, McRobbie, Mankse, Born, Scharff).
