Profile and Areas of Research
Berrin Cefa has been working as a Research Associate at the University of Oldenburg. She is a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Olaf Zawacki-Richter and the COER coordinator. Her research focuses on digitalization in higher education, student disengagement, dropout and retention, and student support systems.
Prior to this, she earned her MSc in Curriculum and Instruction from Ankara University. She has gained extensive experience in higher education working as an instructor of English and a curriculum developer/level coordinator at a foundation university in Ankara, Turkey. Besides her administrative duties, she was responsible for the design of the curriculum and instruction as well as coordination of the instructors in cooperation with educational technologies, professional development, and extracurricular activities. She gave workshops and represented her university at different academic forums on the integration of technology into the curriculum.
